We've been informed that the no reply SMS sender ID feature is not available through the API. We'd definitely like to see this made available, if possible.
Is this in the pipeline, and if so, what's the ETA?
There are two ways that a SMS Sender Mask can be provided within the Whispir Platform. This will be expanded further in future, but today the following methods are available.
Firstly, a Whispir Administrator will need to log into Whispir and set the No Reply SMS Sender ID via the Company Settings.
Once this is complete, the following methods are available.
1. Using the 'defaultNoReply' type setting within your Message request
Once this message has been delivered, it will look as follows:
Happy to provide further information if it is required. The Message Aliasing feature is something we are focused on at the moment and further developments will be coming very soon.
It's been a little while - wondering if there is a way to specify the SMS sender alias in an API call as yet?
If not, how does the above method of setting a company-wide "noreply" under Company Settings interact with the new Alias Manager? Does it serve as a default for no-reply SMS messages, that can be overridden for a specific template by selecting an Alias?
Currently the 'No Reply' function, and the 'Alias Manager' function cannot be used together. It is one or the other.
If you choose 'No Reply' (either by enabling it via the API, or on a Message Template) then Whispir will either send messages from our dedicated No Reply number, or the Alphanumeric that you've set up in the Company Settings.
If you choose to enable 'Alias Manager' on your Message Template, and then invoke an API call using this Message Template, then Whispir will use the alphanumeric that you have set up on that particular Alias.
Currently you cannot select which Alias you want to use via the API. This must be set on the Message Template and invoked via the API. This is a feature that is on our API Product Roadmap, but it hasn't got a release date as yet.

Hi,
This is in the Whispir roadmap but does not have a ETA?
We will keep you posted once an ETA is available.

Hi,
Just closing the loop on this one.
There are two ways that a SMS Sender Mask can be provided within the Whispir Platform. This will be expanded further in future, but today the following methods are available.

Once this is complete, the following methods are available.
1. Using the 'defaultNoReply' type setting within your Message request
2. Use the No Reply Message Template Feature
Once this has been set in the Message Template, the API can be used to retrieve the Message Template ID via the /templates URL.
Once you have this ID, you can use it in your message request as per below.
Once this message has been delivered, it will look as follows:
Happy to provide further information if it is required. The Message Aliasing feature is something we are focused on at the moment and further developments will be coming very soon.

Hi Lars.
Currently the 'No Reply' function, and the 'Alias Manager' function cannot be used together. It is one or the other.

I hope that answers your question.
